Lift Literature looks for supporters to help increase its scholarship fund

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lift Literature is seeking a community match to its $1,000 scholarship fund in 2022.

The scholarship is for Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) seniors attending either a two-year or four-year college or trade school immediately following high school graduation.

Lift Literature’s mission is to ignite the love of reading, literacy, and community connection in South Lake Tahoe. They believe that reading good books not only changes lives, but it saves lives. Its mission is to lift teachers, students, and the community up during this time of extraordinary hardship and to help bridge learning gaps through literacy support in the LTUSD school district and beyond.

Lift is excited to offer a $1,000 scholarship, and seeks a match from the community to double this scholarship:

Lift Literature is a registered 501(c)3. They met several students at the recent South Tahoe High scholarship fair. There are many deserving students and they hope to be able to double the impact financial support for higher education would give.

Scholarship applications are due by April 8, 2022.
