Statewide fiscal year gaming win down 24.41%, South Shore down 5.75%

STATELINE, Nev. - Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $683,733,423 for the month of January 2021. This amounts to a 26.58 percent decrease compared to January 2020, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,037,679,865, according to the monthly report released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Casinos on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe had a "win" of $17,850,723, down 11.46 percent from January 2020. The casinos on the South Shore reported $5,664,000 in winnings from table games and $12,187,000 from slots.

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

The State has collected $481,572,166 in percentage fees to date for the fiscal year which began July 1.

Most of the Las Vegas area saw double digit losses, while Elko County and parts of Washoe County saw double digit wins.

Washoe County posted a win of 4.91 percent as a whole with North Lake Tahoe casinos' "win: of $1,990,782, up 23.77 percent.

The Carson Valley casinos had a "win" of $9,779,657, up 12.91 percent from the same month in 2020.
