Grow Your Own - High Altitude Gardening workshops begin in March

Learn how to grow at high elevation during the 2022 High Elevation Garden Workshops/Grow Your Own Series. Enjoy instruction will cover river/lake-friendly gardening and cultivation techniques, various strategies to apply based on the local growing environment, history/background on featured plants, and information on how to garden organically at high altitudes. These family-friendly workshops are in collaboration with UCCE Lake Tahoe Master Gardeners, University of Nevada Reno Desert Farming Initiative, UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center, and Slow Food Lake Tahoe.

Be a part of the grow-your-own community and share your garden experience.

All workshops are FREE and most include locally grown plants that can be purchased for $15 (per workshop). These specific plants are featured in each workshop and are part of a long-term phenology study that will determine the plants that grow best in our region.
