COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 25 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday. The County's health officer announced 3 are from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 5 in El Dorado Hills, -1 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 0 in North County, 0 in Greater Placerville, 7 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 9 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: 0. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 107.

Of those new cases, 3 are under the age of 18, 7 are age 18-49, 12 are aged 50-64, and 3 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's county: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 23 assumed recoveries with 454 assumed active cases.

There have been an additional 764 negative results received.

There are currently 5 COVID-19 patients hospitalized with 2 of them in the ICU. As of today, there are 2 patient hospitalized with COVID-19 with both of them in ICU at Barton; 3 hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall with 0 of them in the ICU. There is one suspected COVID-positive patient in the ICU at Barton. Also according to the State website, Barton has 3 available ICU beds, Marshall 3.

There has been no additional deaths, the total for El Dorado County residents dying from COVID-19 is 100.
