El Dorado County offices and Sierra-at-Tahoe among businesses closed for the day

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - With the current storm in full force, many area businesses and agencies may be closed for the safety of staff and customers. This list will be updated during the day as more information is made available.

As of 7:30 a.m. Friday, the following are closed:

El Dorado County Offices in South Lake Tahoe will be closed today, Friday, March 1.

South Lake Tahoe Library.

Sierra-at-Tahoe is closed for the day.

Mt. Rose Ski is closed for the day.

Palisades and Alpine Meadows are closed.

Freshie's Restaurant will be closed.

Douglas County Clerk-Treasurer's Office at Stateline.

Update:

U.S. Forest Service supervisor's office in South Lake Tahoe.

El Dorado County Vote Center at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Zephyr Cove Library.

City of South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center will be closed Friday and Saturday and the basketball league slated to start Saturday is postponed. Participants have been notified.

Due to the inclement weather, Tax-Aide is canceling its free tax preparation shift at the Senior Center for Saturday, March 2. They expect to open again on Monday, March 4 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
