Snow Day again for Lake Tahoe Unified School District

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - All Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) schools will be closed on Tuesday, March 5, due to road conditions and their inability to safely operate buses in certain areas of the district.

LTUSD said they are experiencing challenges in Meyers, Christmas Valley, sections off of Pioneer Trail, Upper Truckee, and portions of Highway 50.

Additionally, many of their staff members have communicated they cannot get to school safely on Tuesday.

"We appreciate our city and county partners in their ongoing efforts to safely prepare our roads. We apologize for any inconvenience," said LTUSD in their announcement.

Douglas County School District was already on a two-day professional development day, so they will also be closed on Tuesday.

No other schools have announced they'd close on Tuesday.
