Shave heads and raise funds at Tahoe Douglas Fire Department St. Baldrick's event

Join the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District's St. Baldrick's event on March 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McP's Taphouse Grill in South Lake Tahoe to raise funds for childhood cancer research.

The public can either participate and join in with shaving their head for donations or donate directly to the fire department's efforts.

During the pandemic, kids were still being diagnosed with cancer, but donations to support research have been down drastically. The Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District Local 2441 is trying to change that by joining the biggest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants does more to speed up the search for cures.

Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer to raise money another way, or make a donation, please join us to give kids with cancer the long, healthy lives they deserve.
