STHS grad returns with Audio Threat for Tahoe Arts Project performances

Tahoe Arts Project is presenting a night of music, dancing and drumming when Audio Threat takes the stage at 7:00 p.m. on March 31 at Harrah's Tahoe.

Audio Threat features South Lake Tahoe native, Nikki Grant, Jared Hren and DJ- Dyna “Mic” Duo.

A South Tahoe High Grad, Grant is now a Hollywood-based percussionist. She is returning to her roots for the next Tahoe Arts Project event which features a week of performances by Audio Threat at local schools from March 27-31. They will be at Lake Tahoe Environmental School March 27, Bijou Elementary and Diamond Valley School on March 28, Zephyr Cove and Sierra House on March 29, South Tahoe Middle School and Tahoe Valley Elementary on March 30. The group will wrap up their school performances on March 31 at South Tahoe High.

"Their excitement and enthusiasm is shared through drumming which ignites a performance geared to entice fans and music lovers alike," said a review on the Audio Threat website, www.audiothreat.net.

The whole community is invited to what is being touted as an "exciting dance party made for all ages, kids, teens, parents, and family members alike."

Part of a musical South Lake Tahoe family, Nikki G graduated from South Tahoe High and went on to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and then graduated from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA in Percussion Performance. She then graduated from CalState Northridge with a degree in Music Psychology.

"Nikki G is a musical force to be reckoned with..," said Tom Tom Magazine.
