Snowshoe Thompson up next at Wylder Hope Valley's Eastern Sierra History Series

Enjoy another presentation of the Wylder Hotel Hope Valley's Eastern Sierra History Series on Saturday, April 2. This week it is a living history presentation of “Snowshoe Thompson-Mailman of the Sierra.”

Thompson carried 80 lb. sacks of mail across the Sierra Nevada during winter snows for 20 years. He was a larger-than-life character, saving numerous lives, serving his community unwaveringly, and devoted his life to the betterment of all.

The 50-minute program is free and open to the public. It starts at 3:00 p.m. inside the heated tent. Wylder is located on SR88 1 mile east of the junction of SR88/89 in Hope Valley. Call 760 920-8061 for more information.
