Monthly gaming report: South Shore Lake Tahoe up 12.9%, Carson Valley up 7%

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,342,192,407 for February 2024, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's latest monthly report. This amounts to an 8.5 percent increase compared to the same month a year ago when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,237,048,360. For the fiscal year to date (since July), the gaming win has increased by 5.23 percent with $10,627,278,313 in "win".

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

For Lake Tahoe's south shore, the "win" revenue was $21,351,030 in February, up 12.93 percent from February 2023's $18,907,128. For their fiscal year, revenue win is down by 2.44 percent as compared to the previous period. The South Shore fiscal year win to date is $175,095,644.

On the south shore, $5,206,000 came from table games and $16,145,000 from slots.

Carson Valley area casinos reported a $10,347,748 gaming win, up 7.2 percent. On the North Shore, the reported gaming win of $1,971,158 was down 5.31 percent.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County saw gaming-related revenue increase over the last year collectively by 7.7 percent with a "win" of $82,763,946.

Las Vegas/Clark County casinos had a "win" of $1,177,117,250, up 8.88 percent over the same month last year.

For the fiscal year to date, the State of Nevada has collected $755,109,327 in percentage fees.
