Nominations opening for Tahoe Chamber's 16th annual Blue Ribbon Awards

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. — Nominations for the 16th annual Blue Ribbon Awards are being accepted until April 17 with the winners being celebrated at a special ceremony on May 16 at the Tahoe Blue Event Center at 5:30 p.m.

In partnership with ADVANCE and the South Tahoe Alliance of Resorts, the Tahoe Chamber recognizes business excellence in the South Shore area with the awards.

Since its inception in 2007, the Blue Ribbon Awards have celebrated the accomplishments and contributions of businesses, organizations, and individuals in the South Shore community. The event is among the largest business recognitions in the area, attracting leaders, entrepreneurs, community members, and officials.

Nominations are open in eight categories, including Sustainable Tourism, Innovation, Excellence in Business, Volunteer of the Year, Community Enrichment (sponsored by Margaritaville), Customer Service - Business (sponsored by Vail), Customer Service - Public Agency (sponsored by South Tahoe Refuse), and New Business of the Year (sponsored by The Cork & More).

Chris Proctor, Tahoe Chamber chairperson, emphasized the importance of the awards, "Local businesses and organizations significantly contribute to our community's vibrancy, serving both residents and visitors. Recognizing their efforts annually is a gesture of our appreciation and support."

The awards ceremony, set for May 16 at the Tahoe Blue Event Center, promises an evening of celebration with cocktails, a raffle, dinner, and recognition of community achievements. Attendees are invited to dress in theme colors of sapphire and silver and enjoy the night with Tahoe Blue Vodka cocktails. The event is supported by media sponsors Tahoe Daily Tribune and Outside TV, with additional sponsorship from TBEC, Bally’s, Luna Lending, Barton, and The Landing.
