Tahoe Women's Community Fund grants 14 non-profits with total of $100,000

The Tahoe Women’s Community Fund (TWCF) has announced its 2021 grant recipients. This year, 14 non-profit organizations in the South Shore Community were funded for a total of $100,000.

Normally the funds are handed out during a Grants Gala, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, it has been canceled. It its place will be a virtual presentation over a two-week period, starting around May 20.

Focus Grant Recipients in the category of Poverty, Housing, or Basic Needs):
• Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless (Project Prevent & Connect – $10,000)
• Tahoe Prosperity Center (Housing Tahoe Partnership – $10,000)
• Saint Joseph Community Land Trust (SJCLT Riverside Project – $10,000)
• South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center (Shelter & Feed Our Families – $10,000)

Focus Grant Recipients in the category of Mental Health & Wellness:
• Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation (LTCC Metal Health & Wellness Program –
$10,000)
• TRAILS at the Lake (Independent Living Skills Training and Support – $10,000)
• Between Horses and Humans (Between Horses and Humans Program – $10,000)

Impact Grant Recipients in the category of Community, Arts, & Culture:
• Tahoe Arts Project (Performing Arts in the Schools and Community – $5,000)
• Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars (Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater Summer Workshop – $3,900)
• Valhalla Tahoe (Valhalla Tahoe Community Theatre Renovations – $1,100)

Impact Grant Recipients in the category of Education & Youth:
• Tahoe Rim Trail Association (Junior Naturalist Backcountry Project – $5,000)
• Friends of the Library of El Dorado County (Maximizing Learning Spaces – $5,000)

Impact Grant Recipients in the category of Environment & Animals:
• Sierra Nevada Alliance (Lake Tahoe Ambassador Program – $5,000)
• Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care (Education Ambassador Animal Staging Cages – $4,005)
