Weather trending warm and dry around Lake Tahoe this week

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After a cool weekend, the week ahead will see a warming and drying trend at Lake Tahoe. Is this the end of the Springtime roller coaster we've called the weather lately?

As the temperatures rise, the melting of the Sierra snowpack will increase. Water flows will be faster and colder on both rivers and streams.

The South Lake Tahoe forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno:

Monday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. West wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.

Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.

Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 35.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 61.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 35.
