Event Date:

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is presenting Western Days, a two-day celebration of local history and the annual US50 Wagon Train.

On June 4, join in the fun at the Lake Tahoe History Museum complex in South Lake Tahoe from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be an old-fashioned western shootout, a Chautauqua presentation of a member of the Donner Party, horse, and carriage rides, kids games from an era gone by, live music, food, drink, and vendors. There will be tours of the museum, 1930s cabin, and the Osgood Toll House.

Everyone is welcome and the event is free. Parking will be in the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center, or walk/ride over.

There are still some openings for vendors in the arts, crafts, and goods areas, and purveyors of food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). If interested, please contact Paula at paula@southtahoenow.com or leave a message at the museum, 530-541-5458.

Then, on Sunday, June 5, the US50 Wagon Train will leave its overnight spot at Round Hill and venture through South Lake Tahoe to Meyers before their trek up Echo Summit on Monday.

The museum complex is located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
