Yosemite Climbing Association holding South Lake Tahoe fundraiser for stewardship events

Event Date:
June 4, 2023 - 2:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Yosemite Climbing Association, whose mission is to preserve the history of climbing and the lands we all love to recreate in, is holding a fundraiser on the South Shore on June 4.

Yosemite Climbing Association (YCA), a 501-c(3) nonprofit, creates community stewardship events through their nationwide "Facelift: Act Local" campaigns where they clean up trash and contribute to trails and climbing crags.

In 2022, YCA expanded to 13 Facelift: Act Local locations, and for 2023 they already have 20 locations on the books and have gone international. YCA just completed an event in El Potrero Chico, Mexico.

The public is invited to join them for their 3rd annual fundraiser in South Lake Tahoe and wants everyone to help them celebrate their 20th anniversary as an organization.

Join them at the 4-H camp at Stateline on June 4 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for great food and drinks, live music, a mega raffle, a live auction, a silent auction, a guest speaker, and the chance to support the YCA’s ongoing growth with the amazing adventure community.

All proceeds go towards keeping wild spaces wild, preserving climbing history, and their operational costs in keeping the Yosemite Climbing Association alive.
