This is a living history/Chautauqua style presentation with Eastern Sierra historian David Woodruff as he takes on the character of one of the wealthiest men in the United States, who kept an African Lion for a pet, built one of the most beautiful pleasure craft to navigate Lake Tahoe, entertained former Presidents, and unintentionally conserved a large portion of Lake Tahoe lands for the public to enjoy today.

The 50-minute program is on Saturday, April 30 at 3:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public. The Wylder Hope Valley, formerly known as Sorenson's Resort, is located on Hwy 88, just one mile east of the junction of Hwy 88 & 89 in Hope Valley.
