Enchanted Florist donating portion of Mother's Day sales to Between Horses and Humans

Remember mom with flowers on Mother's Day and bring a smile to her face while also supporting Between Horses and Humans. Enchanted Florist of South Lake Tahoe is donating five percent of all Mother's Day sales from May 7-9 to the nonprofit that empowers children while building their leadership skills and self-esteem through horses.

“We are proud to have a local business help support this much-needed program,” said Laura Maffitt, a volunteer at Between Horses and Humans. “Words cannot describe how the impact of this program has made a difference in so many young lives."

Between Horses and Humans assists local youth with social, personal, and emotional issues by providing a place to learn leadership and life skills through horsemanship. The one-of-a-kind program helps children to become more confident, developing a belief in themselves and their decisions, and glowing with a sense of accomplishment. The organization has been changing lives and healing hearts since 2009. Located in Gardnerville, Nevada, they help youth in the Gardnerville and South Lake Tahoe areas.

“Our staff is really looking forward to helping out the Kids,” said Karen Estes, owner of Enchanted Florist Lake Tahoe. "Using flowers to spread the love and cheer to our moms means a lot to me. So, this year, five percent of the total sales from this Mother's Day orders for May 7, 8, and 9th will be donated to support this much-needed program.”
