Sierra State Parks Foundation brings back Bear Box Art fundraiser

The Sierra State Parks Foundation is bringing back the Bear Box Art Fundraiser to North Lake Tahoe. This fundraiser joins the non-profit with local artists with the goal of raising funds while supporting a trifecta: California State Parks, local artists and beautifying Lake Tahoe one bear box at a time.

For a donation of $500, the Sierra State Parks Foundation (SSPF) will match the homeowner with one of their partnered artists and help facilitate having your bear box painted in the style of your choosing. Show your Tahoe spirit with a custom decorated bear can at your home. Due to the popularity of this seasonal program, the Sierra State Parks Foundation recommends you do not hesitate to sign up to avoid disappointment.

If you are interested in having your own Bear Box painted by one of the SSPF’s professional artists, information and sample artwork can be found on the SSPF website, www.SierraStateParks.org/Bear-Box-Art.

The Sierra State Parks Foundation believes the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area California State Parks are unique treasures worthy of everyone's support. They fund projects and programming that connects people with our rich natural resources and cultural heritage to create a welcoming park experience. Because of their work and advocacy, our valuable State Parks will continue to be places of inspiration and education for generations to come.
