Long awaited $5 Dump Day on June 12 in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Clean Tahoe is holding the first of two $5 Dump Days this year on Saturday, June 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The cost of $5 per vehicle load is for California residents. For Nevada residents, the cost is $10 per vehicle. U-Hauls and oversized trucks will be extra and priced by size.

All mattresses, box springs, televisions, computers, and is free. Refrigerators are $20.

The on-side document shredding is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and provided by the Eagle Project. The limit is 3 boxes per household.

Mattresses are limited to four per household.

Computer recycling is free for California residents only.

A second day to make up for the missed 2020 event will be held on Saturday, September 18.

Dump Day is held at South Tahoe Refuse, 2140 Ruth Avenue in South Lake Tahoe. For more info, visit the Clean Tahoe website or call them at 530.544.4210.
