Popular $5 Dump Day on June 8 in South Lake Tahoe

Time to clean out your yard, storage area or garage?
Take advantage of the Clean Tahoe Program's annual Community Cleanup Day (aka $5 Dump Day) on Saturday, June 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
It's the one day of the year South Shore residents can bring unwanted items to South Tahoe Refuse at HUGE discounts. Only $5 per vehicle load for California residents ($10 for Nevada residents). They are located at 2140 Ruth Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.
For those bringing a truck and trailer, the charge is $10 for California residents.
- Oversized loads & Uhauls: priced by size ($15-$60)
- Refrigerators: $15 (normally $47.10)
- On-site document shredding - FREE - limit 4 boxes per resident, sponsored by Iron Mountain
- Mattresses & box springs - FREE - limit 4 units per resident. They will be recycled by MRC's Bye Bye Mattress Program
- Computer monitors & TVs - FREE
This event is for residential loads only. Commercial loads will pay regular prices. They cannot accept dirt, concrete, asphalt, roofing or heavy construction material.
As part of the event, Clean Tahoe also offers curbside pickup of bulk items for senior and disabled residents in need. Please call the Clean Tahoe office for details - 530-544-4210. There is a limit of 4 items per curbside pickup.
Community Cleanup Day is made possible in part by a generous grant from Vail Resorts’ EpicPromise program with additional sponsors including South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling, Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe, Iron Mountain, Realty World, and the California Conservation Corps.
