Did you feel it? A 3.4 earthquake for Lake Tahoe

3:30 PM UPDATE: The USGS has updated the 12:24 p.m. update to 3.4, the same magnitude earlier documented by the UNR Seismological Lab. It was followed at 12:49 p.m. by a 2.8 magnitude in the same area.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Another earthquake centered in the middle of Lake Tahoe did not go unnoticed Monday. The 3.6 magnitude earthquake is in the same region as the recent seismic activity.

Monday's was located 9.9 miles NNW of South Lake Tahoe, 6.8 miles ESE of Tahoe City.

The seismological laboratory at the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) measured the quake at 3.4 but the US Geological Survey (USGS) has it measured at 3.6. It was at a depth of 7 miles.
