Tahoe Youth & Family Services booking for board members

Are you passionate about helping youth, individuals, and families who have mental health and substance abuse challenges? Do you have a calling to ensure young people are not homeless and receive the kind of support they need to be successful members of our community?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, perhaps you might consider being a board member for Tahoe Youth & Family Services a bi-state agency dedicated to building a resilient community through the healthy development of children, families, and individuals through counseling and support programs.

What Does Board Membership Look Like?

Tahoe Youth & Family Services are looking for Board members who are passionate about our mission and have the time to be active participants. Board meetings are held monthly - one month in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and the next month in Gardnerville, NV. If you are interested in Board membership, please contact Executive Director Karen S. Responsibilities of the Board:

• Approve all organizational policies
• Ensures the organization is fiscally sound
• Gives Financially
• Participates in Committees
• Fundraises
• Board Members follow Good Governance
• Hire the executive director (ED)
• Determine Compensation for the ED
• Evaluates the E.D. annually
• Terminates the E.D. if necessary
