Gold Hill Hotel continues history series with Chautauqua of Donner Party's Reed family

The historic Gold Hill Hotel continues its history series with a Chautauqua (living history) presentation of James and Margret Reed this Thursday, June 1, at 7 p.m. The Reeds were brave and heroic survivors of the forlorn 1846 Donner Party, that brought their four children and dozens of others safely through the tragedy.
Rooming house, private residence, bar, brothel, periods of non-use-for 162 years, the historic Gold Hill Hotel has steadfastly survived and is still providing exceptional hospitality to locals and visitors alike on the Comstock. Today, it is a full-service rooming, dining, and drinking establishment, and proudly claims the title of being the oldest hotel in the state of Nevada.
