On April 1, 2020, City Council confirmed Emergency Order No. 1. On May 12, 2020, City Council directed the Director of Emergency Services to amend Emergency Order No. 1 to state that administrative citations and fines will not be issued against property owners traveling to their own property within the City, consistent with Urgency Ordinance No. 5121 passed by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors on April 14, 2020. The amended order reflects the continued threat of COVID-19 balanced with the ability of out-of-town property owners to visit their properties and is consistent with El Dorado Couty’s Urgency Ordinance No. 5121.

The Resilience Fund Tahoe is a community impact loan fund that came to the agenda through the City's Short-Term Economic Task Force. It allows accredited investors to support local businesses with low-cost capital. The fund aggregates investments and donations that are redeployed quickly through low-interest microloans into the business community where it is needed most; bridge financing to help small businesses repair, adapt, and recover.

The Council will also vote on the relaxation of certain City regulations that may assist local businesses with their successful reopening, now that El Dorado County has entered Stage 2 of the Governor’s plan including in-store retail and in-restaurant dining. Specifically mentioned were measures that may be implemented at no cost to the City, including allowing restaurants to expand outdoor seating and relaxing sign regulations such as the time restrictions on sandwich board signs.

Also on the agenda is discussion of their COVID Compliance Grants, Small Business Relief Grants, and the Locals EatSLT Restaurant Voucher Program, as well as the Reopening Plans for City Facilities and Recreation Programs, including an update on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and return to work procedures for City operations.
