COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County has announced 7 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday: 0 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 0 in El Dorado Hills, 1 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 0 in North County, 0 in Greater Placerville, 1 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 0 in South County, 6 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today's count: -1. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 80.

(New ages not supplied today, this is yesterday's county) Of those new cases, 1 under the age of 18, -3 are age 18-49, -2 are aged 50-64, and -1 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today's count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.

There have been another 18 assumed recoveries with 237 assumed active cases.

There are currently 3 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 0 in the ICU in El Dorado County. As of today, Barton has 0 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and 0 in the ICU, and 3 are hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Marshall, with 0 in their ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients. Also according to the State website, Barton has 4 available ICU beds, Marshall 0.

There have been no additional deaths. Since March 2020 there have been 115 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.
