Public invited to dedication of the Dennis T. Machida Memorial Greenway in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The California Tahoe Conservancy invites the public to join them on Thursday afternoon to dedicate the Dennis T. Machida Memorial Greenway in South Lake Tahoe.

Join the dedication on June 16 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. near the new bridge on the east side of Trout Creek. Parking is available near the Lake Tahoe Community College's Physical Education Building, then a walk to the site which is across from the South Tahoe Public Utility District. Plan on parking at the college by 1:30 p.m. to ensure adequate time to walk to the event location. There will also be free valet parking for those wishing to bike over.

Access to the outdoor dedication event site will require an approximate 1/3-mile walk, including a short distance on uneven ground. The dedication site is in full sun - it is recommended you bring a hat, sunscreen, and water containers. Water coolers will be available onsite.
