Two work zones this week over Mt. Rose, SR-28 project continues

There are two work zones over Mt. Rose from June 21-23 and one continuing on SR-28, so drivers need to be aware that there may be 30-minute delays in both Mt. Rose zones. Crews will be paving the final lift of asphalt on Mt. Rose Hwy SR-431 at the summit through the meadows starting Tuesday, June 21 through Thursday, June 23 from 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Drivers can also expect a second work zone further west on Mt. Rose Hwy as crews continue to remove and replace concrete barrier rail. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane and controlled by flaggers. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 3:00 a.m. to noon.

Prepare for 30-minute delays in work zones. Traffic control supervisors will be monitoring flow and delay times.
