South Tahoe Babe Ruth Championship game Sunday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Tahoe Babe Ruth Championship game will be held on Sunday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at Todd Fields on Lyons Avenue. The highly anticipated game is between the Pirates and the Red Sox.

The Pirates, coached by Lou Flores and Erin Wilson, have secured the 2nd place seed in the league, showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork throughout the season. They will face off against the determined Red Sox, the 3rd place seed, led by coaches David Stephenson and Chris Campion. This championship clash promises to be a thrilling and competitive game as both teams vie for the title.

"We are incredibly proud of all our players and coaches for their hard work and dedication this season," said Melissa Benavidez, president of South Tahoe Babe Ruth. "The championship game is a celebration of their efforts, and we look forward to a fantastic match this Sunday."

In addition to the championship game, South Tahoe Babe Ruth is honored to host the prestigious Babe Ruth State Tournament on June 29 and 30. The tournament will also take place at Todd Field, bringing together some of the best young baseball talent from across the state.

"Hosting the Babe Ruth State Tournament is a significant event for our league and community," Melissa added. "We are excited to welcome teams from around the state of Nevada and showcase the beautiful South Lake Tahoe area and our home field."
