Masks or face coverings required at Reno-Tahoe International Airport

Masks or face coverings are now required to be worn in the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) terminal’s public areas, by order of Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak. The face coverings order was announced Wednesday.

Due to the change, signage describing the new rules is in place and highly visible.

The airport team has been working to enhance the already very safe and clean airport. For the past week, airport staff has been handing out masks to airport customers who show up without them. More than 1,000 social distancing decals have been placed throughout RNO. Plexiglas shielding protects every ticket counter and rental car counter. Hand sanitation stations were added in key high traffic areas.

In the next week, the airport is beginning a new digital marketing campaign that highlights everything RNO is doing to help passengers travel safely. It is called “We Move You, Safely”. It highlights how the airport, the TSA, airlines and tenants are working together to help make travelers feel safer when they fly.
