SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - July is Parks Make Life Better Month and the City of South Lake Tahoe’s Parks & Recreation Department is thrilled to celebrate with the Movies in the Park series, a captivating cinematic experience taking place every Friday night in July at Bijou Community Park.
This free event aims to bring joy, entertainment, and community spirit to residents and visitors of South Lake Tahoe.
Each movie night will feature a distinguished local non-profit partner, further emphasizing the City's commitment to collaboration and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to support and learn more about these remarkable organizations while enjoying an enchanting evening under the stars.
The movie night series schedule is as follows:
July 7: The Secret Life of Pets
Non-profit Partner: Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe
July 14: Inside Out
Non-profit Partner: Live Violence Free
July 21: Finding Nemo
Non-profit Partner: Tahoe Arts Project
July 28: Back to the Future
Non-profit Partner: Parks and Recreation Foundation
Movies will begin at sundown, allowing attendees to relish the breathtaking sunset views before immersing themselves in the magic of cinema. Blankets and chairs are highly encouraged to create a cozy and comfortable movie-watching experience.
To enhance the movie night experience, Tessie's Beach Bites will be present at the venue, offering a delightful selection of snacks and refreshments available for purchase.
The City of South Lake Tahoe invites residents, visitors, and families to mark their calendars and join in the celebration of Parks Make Life Better Month by attending the Parks Make Life Better Month Movie Night series at Bijou Community Park.
