SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A recent visitor at the Motel 6 on Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe called the motel on Friday, informing them they tested positive for COVID-19 after their Tahoe visit.
The motel is now shut down for 14 days and the employees that came in contact with the guest have self-quarantined for two weeks. Guests who were already checked in when the motel found out will finish up their reservation but no new check-ins will be allowed.
Motel 6 will reopen after their quarantine is over on July 9, after the busy 4th of July holiday weekend.
The motel just reopened after being closed for weeks due to shelter in place orders and a ban on nonessential travel.
