Kudos: FEET Fund thanks Friends of Ski Run and the Longest Dinner Table

Huge shoutout to the Friends of Ski Run and the Longest Dinner Table event and supporters! This year, the FEET Fund was lucky enough to be the recipient of the funds raised at the Longest Dinner Table event on the summer solstice, on June 20, 2024. Thank you to all the attendees of the Longest Dinner Table, and organizers Darcie Collins, Chris McNamara, Tor McNamara, and Katy Jo Caringer, for your amazing contributions to the FEET Fund for $20,000. Special thanks to Untethered and Desolation Hotel for supporting both the event and the FEET Fund!

Here at F.E.E.T. Fund (Fulfilling Equitable Educational Trips), we are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making experiential learning available to every student. We are motivated to find funds for all LTUSD children who qualify for the federal free and reduced breakfast/lunch program and whose teachers are working hard to provide alternative educational experiences by going beyond the classroom walls, on overnight, standards-based field trips.

Since its founding in 2018, the FEET fund has supported overnight educational field trips for over 800 children, to such locations as the Coloma Outdoor Discovery School and Sierra Nevada Journeys. Annually, we spend about $20,000, and support 5-6 grade levels at our LTUSD elementary schools…Bijou, Meyers, Sierra House, and Tahoe Valley. For more information, please visit us at www.feetfund.org. On the “receive” page, there are amazing impact reports created by the teachers and students for your enjoyment!

We are so grateful for the community support we received to continue our mission to support our local students! Your FEET Fund Board,
