Parade and 129th Rescue Wing show start the 4th of July holiday in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After an air show at the Lake Tahoe Airport got things rolling on July 3, the Fourth of July got started with a parade and a water rescue demonstration over El Dorado Beach by the California Air National Guard's129th Rescue Wing.

What many people along the parade route said, Thursday's parade was one of the best they've ever seen in South Lake Tahoe. There were floats, kids on bikes, nonprofits, first responders, neighborhoods, businesses, and much more.

The judges were at the corner of Lakeview Avenue and Lake Tahoe Boulevard, along with emcees announcing all of the entries in the parade.
