Celebrities hit the greens at Lake Tahoe; Nick Jonas makes debut in 33-year-old tournament

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - The 33rd annual American Century Championship is underway at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. There was a Pro-Am on Wednesday and Thursday will feature a Celebrity-Am tournament. Also on tap are a short-game skills challenge between Annika Sorenstam, Paige Spiranac, and Kira K. Dixon taking on Hall-of-Famers Marcus Allen and Jerry Rice. There will also be the Korbel Long Drive Competition and a Tony Romo autograph signing session.

This year features one of the strongest fields in tournament history, and more than 50,000 people are expected to attend. All tickets this year are sold online, so purchase before arriving at the course HERE.

Golf Skills Challenge

Annika Sorenstam, Paige Spiranac, and Kira K. Dixon will take on Hall-of-Famers Marcus Allen and Jerry Rice in a short-game skills competition taking place in the chipping/practice area adjacent to the driving range.

Korbel Long Drive Competition

Korbel California Champagne will host a Long Drive Competition at the American Century Championship. The celebrity group with the longest drive will receive $5,000 for their charity of choice.
