South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center just 3 feet away from huge payday at American Century Championship

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - Every year during the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe, Korbel Korbel California Champagne® hosts its annual Celebrity Hole-in-One Contest where $250,000 is on the line.

On Friday after the first round of play, 12 celebrity golfers and one Korbel distributor representative tried to get it into the cup on one swing on the 17th hole. A local charity is selected to be the recipient of the funds should one of the celebrities get the hole-in-one. This year it was the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center.

A hole-in-one was not made so the Closest-to-the-Pin shot won $5,000 for the nonprofit. Korbel California Champagne presented the $5,000 check to the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center. The organization takes the whole family therapeutic approach and offers advocacy, basic needs, education, and mental health services.
