Oshie, a right-winger for the Washington Capitals, is one of 15 active athletes in the field, shot a 2-over-par 74, and eagled the par-5 18th.

The 33rd annual tournament, which concludes Sunday and is televised and live-streamed on NBC, the Golf Channel and Peacock, uses a Stableford scoring system that rewards points for pars (1), birdies (3) and eagles.
Oshie credited his playing partners, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and his brother, former NFL QB David Carr, with helping him get settled and calm. “It's such an easy group of guys,” said Oshie, whose top finish in seven prior appearances was 29th. “Usually I'm extremely nervous at this tournament, which is why I'm lucky if I'm in the red numbers by the end. “But, no, the nerves kind of settled down with those guys. I was just hitting some shots. The putter was really hot.”
Mulder, the former major league pitcher and the only player in tournament history to win three straight ACCs (2015-17), had five birdies on the back nine and has 20 points, tied with Sorenstam, the LPGA legend. Sorenstam shot a 73 with four bogeys and three birdies.
Two-time champion Tony Romo was tied for fourth with 18 points along with Carson Palmer, Mike Modano and Adam Thielen.
Steph Curry, who last month led the Golden State Warriors to their fourth NBA title in eight seasons, holed out for eagle on the par-4 13th and was tied for 10th with 16 points. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had 11 points, singer Justin Timberlake had 7 and fan-favorite Charles Barkley was tied for 72nd with minus-10 points.
The NBA Hall of Famer and TNT analyst, who for years finished at or near the bottom of this event but whose game has improved in the last couple of years, said earlier this week that he would finish among the top 70.
