State of the Lake 2023 to be presented at Granlibakken

Event Date:
July 20, 2023 - 5:00pm

On Thursday, July 20, UC Davis TERC will be hosting the annual State of the Lake presentation at Granlibakken Tahoe located at 725 Granlibakken Road just south of Tahoe City.

TERC director Geoff Schladow will present the much anticipated State of the Lake Report. The Tahoe State of the Lake report informs nonscientists about important factors affecting the health of Lake Tahoe and provides the scientific underpinnings for restoration and management decisions within the Lake Tahoe Basin.

The 2023 report summarizes data collected during 2022 in the context of the long-term record of research at Lake Tahoe. UC Davis researchers have continuously monitored the lake since 1968.

TERC director Geoffrey Schladow, professor of civil and environmental engineering at UC Davis, will share highlights of the report during a simultaneous live presentation and webinar in his always informative and lively interpretation of the most recent data.

Advanced tickets are $10 and free for students with a student ID. Tickets at the door are $15. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

Refreshments and a no-host bar will be available from 5:00 - 6 p.m. An open bar will have wine, beer, mixed cocktails, sodas, and sparkling water. Granlibakken can accept credit cards or cash. They will also be providing a fruit, cheese, and charcuterie tray. Dining is also available at the Cedar House Pub inside Granlibakken.

The lecture will begin at 6 p.m. in the Mountain Room at Granlibakken Tahoe, 725 Granlibakken Rd, Tahoe City. Ample parking is available (see resort map).

This presentation will be simultaneously webcast live. Join us remotely at 6 pm on Thursday, July 22 by clicking on the following link to stream this lecture from your device. https://ucdavis.zoom.us/j/98107167273
