8th annual Chris Little Memorial Beach Wrestling Championships

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 8th annual Chris Little Memorial Beach Wrestling Championships will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, on Timber Cove Beach behind the Tahoe Beach Retreat.

Everyone is welcome to wrestle in style "beach wrestling" for male and female divisions from 5 years old and up. Sign-ups from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, wrestling starts at 10 a.m., and awards and cleanup at 1 p.m.

There will be a coaches/officials meeting @ 9:30 a.m. Both set up and clean up help is needed. Bring buckets and tools to soften sand before the matches.

Entry fees are $20 per wrestler.

Free parking is available at the beach but space is limited. Organizers say overflow parking is available at CVS or Safeway.

The divisions will be pooled by the closest possible weight and age.

There will be awards for the top three in each division - pool noodles and a world-class photo.
