Reno man arrested after allegedly stealing vehicle and bringing to South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A Reno man was arrested in South Lake Tahoe Wednesday after allegedly stealing a car in Reno and bringing it to the lake.
At noon on July 20, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) received word that a 2012 Subaru had been stolen in Reno and was in the area of Takela Drive. The owner of the vehicle had it on a used car lot but was alerted the car was gone so utilized its GPS tracking system.
SLTPD found it in the parking lot of Safeway after searching the area. They observed a person getting into the car and leaving. Backup arrived and the car was surrounded at the intersection of Lake Tahoe Blvd./Fairway Ave.
Horodko was arrested without incident and is currently in the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe. He is being held on one felony count of "Taking a vehicle without owner's consent/vehicle theft."
