Over 30 years, $6 million has been granted to South Lake Tahoe organizations and community initiatives by El Dorado Community Foundation

When I began this position as Executive Director of the El Dorado Community Foundation 17 years ago, I was so very excited to serve and embrace South Lake Tahoe. An area that holds many memories for me all the way back to the age of 14. From the snow-covered slopes to watching my grandmother play slot machines through the window of Harrah’s in the ’60s.
Today, that storyline has greatly expanded to include LTCC, Tahoe Magic, Shinning Stars, South Tahoe High, The Longest Table, the League to Save the Lake, community support during the Caldor Fire, and so much more.
The El Dorado Community Foundation is the largest philanthropic organization in the South Lake Tahoe region. Over $6 million has been granted to your organizations and community initiatives, supporting and providing so much for so many, enriching us all in the process. A hallmark of success that shows no signs of stopping as evidenced by the Foundation grants made this year.
What a pleasure it has been to serve the communities of South Tahoe for all these years!
