The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is alerting the public to a registered sex offender in the area. Wesley Goetz is a Tier II Sex Offender out of Nevada, who lives in Incline Village.
He was convicted in 1998 for Felony Lewdness with a Child under 14, and is on lifetime supervision for his crimes. Goetz must adhere to several special conditions including staying away from areas / businesses which children frequent, and not accessing the Internet without permission.
Goetz is a registered sex offender on lifetime supervision, and isn't on active parole in the State of Nevada.
Goetz is in fact permitted to travel into California to work and to seek employment in the Lake Tahoe area. His attempts to obtain a business license through the City of South Lake Tahoe alone do not amount a parole violation or any other criminal violation.
Goetz must still adhere to several special conditions including staying away from areas or businesses which children frequent, and not accessing the Internet without permission. Goetz is not wanted by law enforcement officials. Goetz is currently in compliance the terms of his supervision.
