Public meeting in South Lake Tahoe Thursday on El Dorado County Sheriff's OES emergency plan updates

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services (OES) is holding a series of public presentations regarding the 2022 updates for the El Dorado County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).

A general overview of the plan will be presented and the public will have the opportunity to provide feedback at the Lake Tahoe Airport on Thursday, August 4 at 7 p.m. The airport is located at 1901 Lisa Maloff Way, South Lake Tahoe.

The plan is updated every five years and there have been updates following guidance from recent assembly bills to make sure all emergency plans are written to include minorities. The multi-page general plan outlines the County's responses to disasters.

There will be a Spanish interupter present during the meeting.

On Friday, August 5 at 7 p.m. there will be a virtual presentation of the plan updates from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, 200 Industrial Dr. Placerville.
