Tahoe Knight Monsters add two new players to 2024-25 roster

The Tahoe Knight Monsters, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights have announced the addition of two new players for the 2024-25 season: Logan Nelson and Jeff Solow.

Forward Logan Nelson

Nelson, 30, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Knight Monsters lineup. Nelson has orchestrated three productive seasons with the Rapid City Rush totaling 173 points (60g, 113a) in 179 games played from 2021-2024. Nelson served as an alternate captain for the Rush during the 2021-22 season.

The 6-1, 210-pound center has totaled 372 points (139g, 233a) in 520 career ECHL games split in stints with several teams across the ECHL.

During the 2021-22 season, Nelson earned an AHL call-up with the Tucson Roadrunners, appearing in five games. The Rogers, Minnesota resident was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the fifth round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Defenseman Jeff Solow

Solow, 28, logged a goal and an assist in 21 ECHL games last season split in stints with the Jacksonville Icemen and Maine Mariners. In addition, he recorded three points (1g, 2a) in 11 outings with the SPHL’s Birmingham Bulls.

This summer, Solow has been playing in the Australian Summer League (AJHL) with the Melbourne Ice where he has collected 29 points (5g, 24a) in 23 contests. Last summer, the Naples, Florida resident was named the league’s top defenseman, posting 34 points in 17 games with the Sky City Stampede.

Solow has totaled 15 points (1g, 14a) in 77 career ECHL in stints with Jacksonville, Maine, the Worcester Railers and the Iowa Heartlanders. The 6-0, 194-pound blueliner played collegiately at Merrimack College and Suny-Oswego from 2016-2020.
