Flags lowered to half-staff in honor of former South Lake Tahoe Mayor Keith Klein

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Flags are flying in South Lake Tahoe at half-staff in honor of former City of South Lake Tahoe Mayor Keith Klein who has passed away.

A noted local architect Klein served on City Council from 1986-1994 and was mayor in 1992. Klein was also involved in the beginnings of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.

“He was so much more than a mayor, he was an amazing young man who did so much for the city and asked for nothing in return,” said Former Mayor Del Laine, “He looked for solutions, always had good ideas, and was always honest.”

All City flags will fly at half-staff through Tuesday, August 13 in honor of his dedicated service to the City.
