Event Date:
August 9, 2023 (All day)

KINGS BEACH, Calif. - Going to the 27th annual Lake Tahoe Summit in the Kings Beach State Recreation Area on Wednesday? On-site parking will be very limited that day and attendees are encouraged to use public transportation, walk, or use a complimentary shuttle service to get to and from the summit. There will also be a bicycle valet service courtesy of the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition.

There is no shuttle from the South Shore this year so people will have to drive to the North Shore and catch a bus from one of the available locations.

Placer County in partnership with Northstar California and EKN Development/Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe will be offering three free park and ride locations for attendees. These shuttles will depart from the Tahoe City Transit Center, the Tahoe Biltmore, and Northstar Castle Peak Lower Lot and drop riders off at the North Tahoe Event Center adjacent to the Kings Beach Recreation Area on SR28. The schedule is attached above.

Online registration is now closed but people can register on the day of at the event. Registration opens at 9 a.m., and the program begins at 10 a.m. A booth fair featuring Lake Tahoe environmental organizations will be held before and after the program.
