New date for 4th annual Tahoe Brewfest at LTCC, tickets now on sale

Event Date:
September 25, 2021 - 12:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - COVID-19 has changed a lot of things in Tahoe, but despite all the challenges, one great thing is returning, the Tahoe Brewfest for the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. New location, limited attendance, and a different date but still great beer, great people and 100 percent Tahoe.

The Caldor Fire forced postponement but a new date has been set. On Saturday, September 25, 2021, the Brewfest will be held at Lake Tahoe Community College and run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for those with general admission tickets.

The City of South Lake Tahoe has added a community hero's welcome event at the college prior to the start of the Brewfest, starting at 12:00 p.m.

Celebrate amazing craft beer and all things Tahoe with local food vendors and artisans, and rounding out the day with the perfect Tahoe weather.

Live music will be provided by fan favorites Bread and Butter and The Residents Lake Tahoe.

“It was a huge hit to the Boys & Girls Club having to cancel the event in 2020,” said Nicole Marsel, the event organizer. “We are so excited to be able to bring it back this year and to be a part of the reconnection and reestablishment of our incredible community.”

The Brewfest would not exist without one very special lady and one great community supporter. Deb Brown of Cold Water Brewery is the heart and soul of the event, it was her idea to bring a Brewfest to Tahoe in 2017 and she continues to be a major sponsor each year.

“This has been a really tough 18 months for the craft brew industry,” said Deb. “First we dealt with the lockdown and loss of business; now the customers are back but we are still rebuilding. The Tahoe Brewfest is going to be a great opportunity for us to come together, forget the troubles of the past year, and raise a glass to the future.”

The Tahoe Brewfest would not be happening without the generosity of Lake Tahoe Community College and Foundation, who have generously opened their doors and their parking lot to the event.

Attendance will be limited this year, and participants are encouraged to buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. There will be a photo booth available for all attendees to remember the day and VIP attendees will receive an extra hour of tasting and a commemorative stainless steel pint to take home. Cost is $50 for general admission, $70 for VIP and kids and designated driver pricing is available. Tickets can be purchased at www.tahoebrewfest.com.

The official after party will be held at South Lake Brewing with discounts for Brewfest attendees.
