SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With cooler mornings signaling the arrival of fall, it’s time to start thinking about preparing your garden for the colder months. Attend a free workshop to learn how to shut down your irrigation system and get your garden winter-ready.

The South Tahoe Public Utility and Lake Tahoe Master Gardeners are hosting the third gardening workshop, Fall into Conservation, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive. The workshop will also be accessible virtually at stpud.us. Admission is free and no registration is required.

“Autumn is the perfect time to hit up the nursery plant sales and add new plants to your garden,” said Jennifer Cressy, Master Gardener and Water Efficiency Technician. “Our previous gardening workshops have been a hit, and I’m excited to share tips on how to ready your garden and irrigation system for the winter months.”
