Comedian and MacDuff's Pub raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (BGCLT) is thanking Joe Praino, Chris Filasky and MacDuff’s Pub for coming together to support the Club.

Three weeks ago, the Club spread the word about the Praino Pebble Pool which was organized by their favorite comedian, Joe Praino. The pool was to get in on the action for Joe’s success (or not) as he took on the world-famous links at Pebble Beach. Joe posted his training regimen on his YouTube channel and set his goal score of 100, making the over/under for the pool 100.5. The winner would get 50 percent of the pot and Joe would donate the other 50 percent to the Club.

This was a huge hit! While Joe missed his mark by “just a little”, Chris Filasky was spot on winning half the pot with his guess of 114 and donating his half to the Club as well. Adding a cherry on top to this awesome donation, MacDuff’s Pub in South Lake Tahoe matched the winnings bringing the total Club donation to $5,000.

“Joe’s updates throughout the course were a blast to keep up with and we are so grateful to all the guys for their generosity during this crazy time,” BGCVLT Events and Fundraising Director Nicole Marsel.

"Joe, Chris and Iain, the owner of MacDuff's Pub. are extremely thoughtful guys and deserve to have everyone know how much they’re appreciated," added Marsel.

Here is one of Joe's videos on how he injured himself in Lake Tahoe, golfed at Edgewood, then prepared for Pebble Beach (warning, there is some adult language)
