Tickets have sold quickly for the 20th annual Tahoe Summit with their special guest, President Barack Obama. Due to increased security at the August 31 event, there are some things attendees need to take note of.
To start with, they have changed the event's start time to 1:30 p.m., and gates will close prior to the start so early arrival is highly recommended. No one will be allowed in after the gates close, even if they have purchased a ticket.
For those that purchased tickets through StubHub, there is an extra step they should take, especially if their name isn't on the ticket. StubHub ticketholders are allowed into the venue, but they need to be there at 11:30 a.m. when the gates open to get through security, according to Mary Connelly of Senator Harry Reid's office.
To ensure ease at entry if you have a StubHub ticket, send an email to tahoesummit@reid.senate.gov. Heidi Hill Drum, Executive Director of the Tahoe Prosperity Center, checked into details so attendees won't have any issues. She said to give Reid's office your ticket number on the email, and who will be using that exact ticket. You also want to include who the original ticket was issued which is listed on your StubHub receipt. They will have this list at the door.
Some tickets have been released on Ticketmaster on the venue floor level.
