Firefighters knock down cabin fire at Fallen Leaf Lake

Firefighters responded Sunday to a cabin fire off of Juniper Lane and Fallen Leaf Lake Road.
The call came to South Lake Tahoe dispatch shortly after noon. Light smoke was coming out of the kitchen area of the cabin, believed to be owned by the U.S Forest Service. The fire was knocked down at around 12:30 p.m. and was not a threat to surrounding trees in the area.
